Mud Puddles

There are indeed mud puddles in Denmark. Lots of them. Especially this time of year. Just throwing that out there. But let's start from the beginning of what I wanted to blog about. :) I had my first concert last Friday. I played the trumpet for a thing at the school. It was pretty awesome. (And here, we skip over a rather uneventful week, and we come to Friday.) This Friday, I went to my friend Else's house with a bunch of other people, and we had a Harry Potter marathon in preparation for the release of the first half of the 7th movie this week. Then I went home, and my family had a surprise dinner for me. They invited a bunch of our friends from Bjergby, and we all ate dinner together and then played a gift-exchange game. It was super fun. Then all of us girls watched Ghost Whisperers, which is a terrible TV show that I have become addicted to while staying here. Haha. It's awesome. It's got Jennifer Love Hewitt in it, and she can see ghosts who are stuck here because they have "unfinished business." It is incredibly cheesy and all, but... here I am watching it online as we speak. :P Pretty sad, I know. But anyway, the reason for this little party was that I am moving host families this weekend. I'm excited to get to know the new family and everything, and to be closer to my friends in town. But at the same time, I am going to miss these girls like crazy. Not only Julie and Diana, but also their friends. It's like I finally have little sisters. :) I'll just have to ride the bus out to see them often. Oh. One more thing. I had a little bout of homesickness on Friday night. Not bad, just a little bit. We were getting in the car to drive to a family dinner, and Christian put in a Carole King CD. I cried a little. Haha. A) It made me miss Abby, who is the world's biggest Gilmore Girls fan. (Where You Lead by Carole King is the intro song). B) It made me miss Sarah Simmons, with whom I sang Where You lead as a duet. C) It made me miss my VINYL! Haha. Pitiful, I know. But come on... my vinyl. I miss it. Anyway... That's about all I have to blog about for now. :) Have a lovely day.
